The Foundation Fyssen is offering Research Grants ranging from 15.000 to 30.000 euros without renewal. The aim of the Fyssen Foundation is to "encourage all forms of scientific inquiry into cognitive mechanisms, including thought and reasoning, which underlie animal and human behavior; their biological and cultural bases, and phylogenetic and ontogenetic development".  The Foundation supports research in ethology, psychology, neurobiology, anthropology, ethnology, human paleontology and archaeologie.

The Wenner Gren Foundation is offering Post-PhD Research Grants for a maximum of US $25,000 towards research expenses. These grants are awarded to individuals holding a Ph.D. or equivalent degree to support individual research projects. The program contributes to the Foundation's overall mission to support basic research in anthropology and to ensure that the discipline continues to be a source of vibrant and significant work that furthers our understanding of humanity's cultural and biological origins, development, and variation. The Foundation supports research that demonstrates a clear link to anthropological theory and debates, and promises to make a solid contribution to advancing these ideas.

The Wenner Gren Foundation is offering the Hunt Postdoctoral Fellowship (US $40,000 for 12 months).  The Wenner Gren Foundation would like to stimulate anthropological writing by providing funds to enable scholars to devote themselves full-time to writing. The Foundation seeks a new generation of anthropologists to publish significant works that will impact on the development of anthropology.

Bayer Inc. is offering the Early Career Investigator Award (US$100,000 annually for two years).  This award will fund salary support and research funds for a junior member who wishes to undertake a mentored basic and/or clinical research project in the bleeding disorders field.  The applicant would be expected to dedicate a significant amount of time to the project.

The National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression (NARSAD) Young Investigator Award application normally due in July has been extended until November.  The program is intended to facilitate innovative research opportunities and supports basic and/or clinical investigators, however, research must be relevant to our understanding, treatment and prevention of serious psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, or child and adolescent psychiatric disorders.  Awards are up to $30,000/year, for one or two years (maximum of $60,000).

The ARC is offering Future Fellowships is to attract and retain the best and brightest mid-career researchers. ARC Future Fellowships will encourage proposals from researchers working in areas of national priority. Preference will be given to those researchers who can demonstrate a capacity to build collaboration across industry and/or research institutions and/or with other disciplines.  These are 4 year fellowships of up to $140,000 a year to 1,000 outstanding Australian and international researchers in the middle of their career. In addition, each researcher’s Administering Organisation will receive funding of up to $50,000 per year to support related infrastructure, equipment, travel and relocation costs.
